St. Vincent de Paul High School is hosting their first annual Mustang Summer Jam July 17-18.
The participating teams are St. Vincent de Paul, Averroes (Fremont), Clear Lake (Defending NCS D5 runner-up), Fortuna, Middletown, Marin Academy, Santa Rosa, Rancho Cotate & Montgomery.
Each team will play four games with the exception of Santa Rosa, Rancho Cotate and Montgomery. Rancho and Montgomery will play five games. Their additional contests will be against Santa Rosa who was a late entry into the field. SR will play just two games throughout the weekend.
The tournament tips off on July 17 at 9am with Middletown taking on Averroes. Fortuna will take on Rancho Cotate at 10:15am with Middletown completing the first day against host St Vincent de Paul at 1pm. The games that follow the rest of the day are Rancho Cotate-Clear Lake, Fortuna-Montgomery, Rancho Cotate-Santa Rosa, Montgomery-Clear Lake and Marin Academy-St. Vincent de Paul.
The July 18 action will see Fortuna battle Middletown at 9am with the 1pm game featuring Montgomery and Rancho Cotate. Local teams take the rest of the action starting at 3:45pm with arch-rivals Santa Rosa and Montgomery doing battle in the summer. Averoes-St. Vincent de Paul, Rancho Cotate-Marin Academy, and Montgomery-St. Vincent de Paul complete the tournament action.
