In a wild high school basketball offseason that has seen many coaches come and go, another one is on the move as Casa Grande Head Girls Basketball Coach Dan Sack was let go this past week.
In 16 seasons, he compiled a record of 257-189, with this past season going. 17-10, and winning the Vine Valley Athletic League Championship. The Gauchos made one run into Nor Cals, in 2011-2012, going 31-3, and losing to St. Ignatius in the second round.

Of the six basketball coaching positions between boys and girls in the town of Petaluma, all six have now changed coaches since last March. Since this past basketball season alone, St Vincent has replaced both their boys and girls coaches, while Casa Grande of course has let the afformentioned Sack go. Before this past season, Petaluma let go one of their coaches, with the other resigning. In the meantime, Casa Grande had to replace their boys coach last March after a resignation.
